System Group Driver Training Scotland have worked with employers and trainees since 1988 in order to develop and provide first class solutions to a range of individual company requirements, specialising in the fields of Logistics and Driver Development.

We offer a vast range of training courses, qualifications and support to develop and assist your staff and to keep you and your business up to date with current legislation.

 

Driver Training and Development

LGV (Rigid and Artic) Vehicles

Intensive training courses delivered by qualified and experienced tutors using the latest industry specified vehicles to train you towards gaining your Category C (Rigid / Class 2) or C+E (Artic / Class 1).

Car and Trailer Training

Train towards your B+E licence to enable you to tow a trailer weighing over 750kg. This licence will enable you to drive a horse or cattle trailer. If you passed your car test after 1997, you will be required by the DVLA to take a separate test for this licence category. We will provide a vehicle and box trailer for your training.

ADR - Dangerous Goods Training and refresher training

Commonly known as ADR or ‘Accord Européen relatif au Transport International des marchandises Dangereuses par Route’. We provide bespoke training solutions for all classes of dangerous goods including Explosives and Radioactives. Training can be delivered on site or at our spacious training facilities in Alloa. You have 4 weeks from the date of expiry of an existing certificate to complete a refresher course. If you do not complete a refresher course (carried out over 3 days) in this time period you risk having to resit the whole 5 day course.

  9. Miscellaneous Substances

Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)

Our industry experienced tutors will ensure you are supported through all modules and examinations of the qualification. Both passenger and road transport training courses are available. An essential qualification for anyone aiming to hold an Operators Licence or going in to Transport Management.

Driver Risk Assessment/ Pre employment Driver Assessment

Carried out in LGV, vans or car, assessments range from two hours to a full day, we can provide you with a driver risk profile which will enable you to identify any training needs required by your workforce.

Safe and Fuel Efficient Driver Training (SAFED)

Courses delivered in LGV/HGVs, vans or cars. Drivers are coached in techniques aimed at reduction of wear and tear of vehicles, defensive driving and reduced fuel consumption. Companies with drivers trained in SAFED Techniques save on average 10.2% on their fuel bills. (Source SAFED).

LGV and Fork Lift Truck Banksman and Signalling Training

Nearly a quarter of all deaths involving vehicles at work occur while vehicles are reversing. Many other reversing incidents do not result in injury but cause costly damage to vehicles, equipment and premises. We can arrange bespoke LGV and Fork Lift Truck Banksman and Signalling courses based within your own work environment, helping you comply with insurance and health and safety requirements.

Instructor and Assessor Training

A range of efficient and low cost ‘train the trainer’ programmes from in-house assessor to nationally accredited qualified instructor level. These courses are available for Car, L.G.V., P.C.V., and Fork Lift Truck to help you improve the efficiency of your workforce.

NVQ Programmes

We deliver National Vocational Qualifications at Level 2 in Warehousing and Storage, Driving Goods Vehicles and Traffic Office.

Apprenticeships

We deliver nationally recognised funded training programmes for young people in Driving Goods Vehicles, Carry and Deliver Goods, Warehousing and Traffic Office. Apprenticeship programmes are available with funded training support for 16 to 24 year olds in Young Driver Scheme, Warehousing and Storage and Traffic Office, helping you to develop your workforce for the future by giving them the best start with the essential skills and qualifications.
